Eco activities at Juntendo Hospital

At Juntendo Hospital, we take the global environment into consideration and carry out the following eco-friendly initiatives.

Efforts to reduce plastic

As a medical institution within the University of Health and Welfare, Juntendo Hospital believes that it is our mission to further proactively work towards reducing waste.
①In consideration of the global environment, our hospital has discontinued the use of plastic bags (outer bags) when handing over medicines since August 2020.Additionally, in May 8, we have discontinued the use of transparent plastic bags (Unipack) when handing over medicines in order to further reduce plastic use.
②We are also working with the tenant businesses within the hospital to encourage them to gradually replace plastic straws with paper straws, and to switch from plastic bottled beverages to paper-packed beverages as much as possible.
③We will also gradually switch from plastic bottles to paper cartons for beverage vending machines in the hospital.

Promote recycling through thorough waste separation

We are working to thoroughly separate garbage and promote recycling.
